Justin Melnick: SEAL Team TV Show Star, K-9 Handler, Police Officer - Danger Close with Jack Carr
Today’s guest is Justin Melnick.
Justin is a police officer, K-9 handler, stuntman, actor, and photographer.
He stars as Brock Reynolds on the hit Paramount+ series SEAL Team. Before his recurring role on the show, Justin served as the show’s dog handler, responsible for his Belgian Malinois, Dita, who plays the role of Cerberus.
Additionally, Justin is known for his roles in The Matter With Clark, Cupcakes, and Justified: City Primeval. He released a coloring book, The Adventures of DITA The Hair Missile, in 2020.
Justin is a police officer and K-9 officer for the Daleville police department in Indiana. Prior to joining the police force, he spent six years traveling the world as a photographer. His experience culminated with a three-month stint with U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
He is active with non-profits such as Joey’s P.A.W. and the Military Working Dog Team Support Association (MWDTSA) to ensure that military and law enforcement K-9s and their handlers have the support they need.

In college, Jim was an all-American swimmer and member of the Canadian National Water Polo team.
A noted expert in ethnocentric arts of Western Canada, Jim opened the Hand of Man Museum of Cultural Arts and Conservation on Vancouver Island in 2019.

Today’s guest is Drago Dzieran.
Drago is an author, entrepreneur, retired Navy SEAL, and former political prisoner.
Born in communist Poland, Drago immigrated to the United States in 1984 after being imprisoned for his political activism against the oppressive regime.
Drago enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1991. Over his 20 years in the SEAL Teams, he served as a member of SEAL Team 2, SEAL Team 4, and as a BUD/s Instructor. He took part in over 100 combat missions in Iraq, earning the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, the Navy Commendation Medal with Valor, and the Army Commendation Medal.
After his military retirement, Drago started a career as a software engineer. Additionally, he founded the Navy SEALs Fund – Brotherhood Beyond Battlefield, a nonprofit organization focused on reducing the financial burden of all UDT/SEAL teammates, including Gold Star Families who need assistance. He also founded ConnectZing, a censorship-free social media network.

Today’s guest is Caleb Brewer.
Caleb is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces soldier and the founder and owner of Stick Sniper Archery in Tucson, Arizona.
He joined the Army in 2005, eventually earning the coveted Green Beret. In 2015 his life changed when he was critically injured by an IED resulting in the loss of both legs while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan.
During his recovery process, Caleb gravitated toward the outdoors. In 2017, he discovered his love for archery after being given a bow. He quickly went all in and built a service shop in his garage and started bowhunting. In 2020, Caleb developed the archery program for Operation Enduring Warrior, a nonprofit organization that supports veterans and first responders.
In 2021, Caleb founded Stick Sniper Archery in his hometown of Tucson, Arizona. Stick Sniper Archery is a comprehensive archery pro shop with an on-site range offering lessons for archers of all skill levels.

Nick Lavery: The First Special Forces Operator to Return to Combat as an Above-the-Knee Amputee
Today’s guest is author, speaker, and active duty U.S. Army Green Beret, Nick Lavery.
On a deployment in Afghanistan in 2013, Nick’s detachment experienced an insider attack that resulted in the loss of his leg. After a year of surgeries and recovery with a prosthetic limb, Nick rejoined his detachment in 2015. He is the first Special Forces operator to return to combat as an above-the-knee amputee.
Currently, Nick serves as a Special Forces Warrant Officer. He is the first amputee to complete several Special Forces tactical and combative operations courses. Nick received numerous medals including the Silver Star, three Purple Hearts, two Bronze Stars, and a Bronze Start with “V” for valor.
In addition to serving in the military, Nick is also a speaker and trainer who works with corporations, schools, sports teams, and non-profit organizations. He gave a TEDx Talk called “Living by an Ethos.”

Jariko Denman enlisted in the United States Army in 1997. Shortly after, he began the selection process for the 75th Ranger Regiment and was assigned to the 2nd Ranger Battalion. From 2002-2012, Jariko made 15 combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan as a Weapons Squad Leader, Rifle Platoon Sergeant, and Ranger Company First Sergeant. He retired from active duty in 2017.
Since leaving the military, Jariko has worked as a tactical advisor on national ad campaigns, television programs, and several Hollywood films including The Outpost and Mile 22. He has also worked as a freelance journalist.

Vincent “Rocco” Vargas is a special operations combat veteran, former Homeland Security Federal Agent with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, actor, writer, and producer.

Doug retired from the CIA after serving multiple overseas tours where he specialized in human intelligence and counterterrorism. He is currently a professor at the University of New Hampshire.

Craig ‘Chili’ Palmer: Army Special Mission Unit Op., Hollywood Advisor - Danger Close with Jack Carr
Today’s guest is former Army Special Mission Unit Operator and combat veteran Craig “Chili” Palmer.
Chili served in the 75th Ranger Regiment in both 1st Battalion and the Regimental Reconnaissance Company. A week after reporting to 1st Battalion he made his first combat jump into Panama for Operation Just Cause. After two years as a Military Free Fall Instructor, he was selected for the U.S. Army’s top tier special mission unit where he served for another 17 years, making 13 combat deployments during the Global War on Terror. He retired as Sergeant Major. Post-military, he has worked in research-and-development on military technologies that benefit special operations forces. He is also a firearms instructor for SIG Sauer and Viking Tactics.
His extensive combat and weapons experience has made him a highly sought-after expert in Hollywood as a military technical advisor. Chili’s film credits include How It Ends, Extraction, The Gray Man, and Extraction 2, set for release in 2023.

Today’s guest is Chad Robichaux.
Chad is a United States Force Recon Marine veteran, author, MMA champion, keynote speaker, podcast host, founder of the Mighty Oaks Foundation, and co-founder of Save Our Allies.
After his military service, Chad founded the Mighty Oaks Foundation, a non-profit organization geared toward helping active duty, military veterans, and first responders combat PTSD through faith-based combat trauma and resiliency programs. Chad has spoken to more than 400,000 active duty troops and has hosted more than 4,500 active military and veterans at Mighty Oaks ranches around the country.
Chad is also the co-founder of Save Our Allies, a non-profit organization focused on the evacuation of Americans and American allies trapped in Afghanistan. The mission started as Chad’s quest to save his friend and long-time Afghan interpreter, but quickly morphed into something greater. The organization has helped evacuate more than 17,000 people from Afghanistan. His new book, Saving Aziz, details that experience.
Chad has authored numerous books including The Truth About PTSD, Fight For Us, Path To Resiliency, Behind The Lines, his memoir An Unfair Advantage, Redeployed and Marriage Advance: Love Never Gives Up.
Outside of the military, Chad served as a Special Agent with the U.S. Air Marshals and as a Surveillance Detection Senior Program Manager for the U.S. State Department. He is also the recipient of the Medal of Valor for his bravery beyond the call of duty in law enforcement.
Chad is co-host of The Situation Report podcast with Jeremy Stalnecker. He also hosts the Robo Show with Chad Robichaux, a podcast that covers everything from military specializations to martial arts training.
A former Mixed Martials Arts Champion, Chad has a professional record of 15-2. He is a 4th degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt who trained under the legendary Master Carlson Gracie Jr.

Special Operations Veteran Kevin Holland and Master Bladesmith Daniel Winkler - Danger Close
On today’s episode, Jack is joined by Master Bladesmith Daniel Winkler and special operations veteran Kevin Holland.
Kevin is a special operations veteran who has the distinction of serving in both the Navy’s and Army’s Special Mission Units. Between his time in the SEAL Teams and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment - Delta, Kevin worked as a game warden in North Carolina. Following his time in the military he operated with other government agencies and non-governmental organizations in conflict zones around the world.
Daniel Winkler is a Master Bladesmith who started making knives in 1975. Daniel created the tomahawks and knives for the 1992 film The Last of the Mohicans. After seeing the film, Kevin tracked Daniel down to make the axe that was on his side for every deployment.
The Winkler Knives RnD Hawk featured in Jack’s James Reece Terminal List series and used by Chris Pratt in the Amazon Prime Video adaptation of The Terminal List was designed by Daniel Winkler and Sayoc Kali master Rafael Kayanan.

CE Albanese: Drone Kings - Danger Close with Jack Carr
Today’s guest is former Secret Service agent, podcaster, and author, CE Albanese.
During his time in the Secret Service, he protected high-profile world leaders, including the President of Iran and then-Vice President Biden.

Remi Adeleke: The Unexpected - Danger Close with Jack Carr
Remi Adeleke is an actor, filmmaker, author, entrepreneur, and former Navy SEAL.
He has appeared in films including 6 Underground, Transformers: The Last Knight, and Ambulance. Remi was also featured in the TV series SEAL Team and he played Terrell “Tee” Daniel in The Terminal List on Amazon Prime Video.
Remi wrote and directed The Unexpected, a film that explores the world of human organ trafficking. The movie releases on 30 September 2022.
Find him this January on Fox’s new reality competition show Special Forces: The Ultimate Test, the U.S. version of the popular British TV series SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Remi is the founder of the apparel brand Kejo Wear and the film production company 8th Wonder Entertainment. His memoir Transformed: A Navy SEAL's Unlikely Journey from the Throne of Africa, to the Streets of the Bronx, to Defying All Odds documents his incredible journey of going from the son of a Nigerian prince, to overcoming hardships as a young man in the inner city, to later becoming a SEAL and successful entrepreneur.

Andy McNab: Behind Enemy Lines [Rebroadcast] - Danger Close with Jack Carr

Andy McNab is a former member of the British SAS who led Bravo Two Zero during the first Gulf War.
Over his time in the military, Andy conducted counter-terrorist and anti-drug missions in Central America, South America and throughout the Middle East. He also worked undercover in Northern Ireland. He was captured in Iraq on a mission during the first Gulf War in 1991, an experience he recounts in his first book, Bravo Two Zero. Andy was awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) and Military Medal (MM). At the time he left SAS in 1993, he was the British Army's most highly decorated serving soldier.
In his post-military life, Andy has instructed special operations forces in survival, hostage rescue, and counterterrorism. He was also the technical advisor on the classic action film Heat.
He is the author of the Nick Stone and Tom Buckingham thriller series, the co-author of the Boy Soldier series, and the author of three books about his own military experience: Bravo Two Zero, Seven Troop, and Immediate Action.
Andy’s novel Red Notice was recently adapted into a major motion picture. It is currently available on Netflix as SAS: Rise of the Black Swan.

Chris Pratt: Becoming James Reece - Danger Close with Jack Carr
Today’s guest is Hollywood superstar Chris Pratt.
Chris plays Lieutenant Commander James Reece in the Amazon Prime Video adaptation of Jack Carr’s The Terminal List. Following the show’s debut this summer, it became the No. 1 series on Prime Video. During the week of 4th of July alone, the show was viewed for more than 1.6 billion minutes.
In addition to portraying James Reece, Chris is also known for his roles in the Jurassic World, Guardians of the Galaxy, Avengers, and LEGO Movie franchises, along with Moneyball, Zero Dark Thirty, Passengers, The Magnificent Seven, Onward, The Tomorrow War, and many others. He also played Andy Dwyer on the hit sitcom Parks and Recreation. He will voice Garfield and Super Mario in upcoming productions featuring those iconic characters.

Nate Boyer: MVP - Danger Close with Jack Carr
Nate Boyer is a Green Beret, former college and professional football player, actor, and director of the new movie MVP.
The film is executive produced by Sylvester Stallone. Its official synopsis explains, “[it] takes place on the streets of Hollywood and centers on the growing friendship between a struggling recently retired NFL player and a homeless veteran suffering from PTSD (played by Boyer). The movie reveals the common challenges faced by military veterans and professional athletes adjusting to a new life once the uniform comes off.”
MVP stars athletes and actors including Randy Couture, Michael Strahan, Tom Arnold, Talia Jackson, and others.
The film’s release is accompanied by a fundraising campaign for Nate’s nonprofit Merging Vets and Players from the GNC Live Well Foundation.
In addition to being a filmmaker, Nate is also a former professional athlete. Even though he had not participated in organized football before joining the Special Forces, he went on to play for the Texas Longhorns before becoming the oldest rookie in NFL history at the age of 34 as a member of the Seattle Seahawks.
During his time as a Green Beret, Nate served on deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan and completed a number of JCET (Joint Command Exchange Training) Missions to locations including Israel, Bulgaria, and Greece.
